Brakey Consulting, Inc. is an Ohio-based company providing energy consulting services to over 40 industrial companies with facilities in over 100 locations in the greater Cleveland, Akron, Middlefield, Toledo, and Youngstown areas.  These companies’ electricity needs are met by either Cleveland Public Power and other electric co-ops or Ohio FirstEnergy companies: FirstEnergy Solutions, The Illuminating Company, Ohio Edison, and Toledo Edison.  Our clients’ gas needs are met by Dominion East Ohio Gas, Columbia Gas, Hess and Constellation NewEnergy (CNE). 

Brakey Consulting fills a void for companies who do not have an energy manager on staff. The firm provides energy consulting services targeted to manufacturing and large commercial companies in northern Ohio.  We:

• Help these companies improve power factor, scheduling efficiency, load factor, rate schedule optimization, and electric consumption to create an optimal electric profile and lower their average cost of electricity.
• Utilize gas marketers like CNE, to purchase natural gas and implement hedging strategies at favorable group rates that our clients would not be able to individually access. 
• Work closely with our sister company, EnergyManager.com, to provide electric bill audits, analysis, and identify savings opportunities within our clients’ electric bills.
• Sponsor an association, known as MICA, for whom Brakey Consulting, Inc. proactively keeps up to date on energy suppliers and energy prices.  This group shares the cost of membership in the Industrial Energy Users - Ohio (IEU), an energy lobbying group based in Columbus, Ohio.  Brakey Consulting serves as MICA members’ representative at all IEU meetings.
